911 Service
We are the 911 service provider for:
  • Municipal District of Bonnyville
  • Counties of Smoky Lake and St. Paul
  • Kehewin, Saddle Lake and Cold Lake First Nations
  • Fishing Lake and Buffalo Lake Metis Settlements
From  our 911 Centre, we dispatch fire departments for all of our clients and provide dispatch services to Community Peace Officers in the Municipal District of Bonnyville and the Town of St. Paul.

Emergency Response Services

Operating out of eight fire stations, we currently provide emergency response services to fire, rescue, and dangerous goods incidents in the following areas:
  • Municipal District of Bonnyville
  • Summer Villages of Bonnyville Beach and Pelican Narrows
  • Town of Bonnyville
  • Village of Glendon

Fire Protection Services

The Authority provides municipal and industrial fire protection services under contract to the villages and summer villages within the municipal district, Casino Dene, Imperial Oil Resources and Canadian Natural Resources Ltd.

We are also the service provider for fire investigation, fire inspection and prevention, fire safety, and public fire education programming within the same area.


The M.D. of Bonnyville requires a Fireworks permit for all fireworks discharged in the M.D. These permits can be purchased from any licensed fireworks retailer in the M.D. of Bonnyville or the Town of Bonnyville when purchasing fireworks. For fireworks purchased outside of the M.D. of Bonnyville or the Town of Bonnyville, discharge permits can be obtained from the Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority (4407 – 50 Avenue, Bonnyville) during regular business hours Monday to Friday.
Sale, possession and discharge of fireworks in the M.D. of Bonnyville without a permit issued by the Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority either directly or through a licensed retailer is subject to prosecution under the Alberta Safety Codes Act or the Municipal Fire Services bylaw.
Permits issued by other municipalities are invalid in the M.D. of Bonnyville.
