Number of years on Council: This is my first term.
Personal background: I was born and raised in the M.D. I currently live on the family farm near Fort Kent. My wife Carmen and I have lived there for the past 18 years. We have recently become grandparents, and proudly welcomed a grandson into our world.
Employment background: I worked in the construction sector as a Journeyman carpenter and project superintendent for 20 years. I am one of the former owners of Western Pride Auction and managed the business from the beginning.
Volunteer background: I am a past director of the Alberta Livestock Market Association. I have been a member of the M.D.'s Agriculture Service Board and the Subdivision & Development Appeal Board. I am a current board member of the Bonnyville Agriculture Society and the Alberta Auctioneers Association.
Reasons for becoming a member of Council: I have time and experience that I can offer. I'm ready for a new challenge.
Term goals and priorities: I want to create a good working relationship with Council and M.D. employees. I want to make the M.D. a place you want to live. I will support regional cooperation, awareness and fairness. I will promote entrepreneurial opportunities. I would like to work on business growth, development and job creation. I will lobby for better crime prevention resources.
