Research

The Municipal District of Bonnyville provides funding to the Lakeland Agricultural Research Association (LARA) to conduct statistically valid research and demonstrations on new crop varieties and pest management alternatives.

Their research farm is located on the outskirts of the Hamlet of Fort Kent.

Horticulture Research Program

A horticulture research program is also conducted that includes garden vegetable varieties, fruit and berry production, and aromatic and medicinal plant trials. Click here for more information.
