Community Association Grants

Community Action Grant

Community Action Grants are available throughout the year, and are dependent on budget availability.

The Community Action Grant is intended to provide funding to provincially registered community associations within the M.D., including urban centres within our municipal boundaries, to provide recreation, culture, and healthy living opportunities to our residents.

There are four levels of funding:

  • Events and Programs - up to $5,000
  • Minor Capital Projects - up to $5,000
  • Moderate Capital Projects - $5,001 to $25,000
  • Major Capital Projects - $25,001 up to $200,000, with a minimum of 50% matching funds from the applicant.

Community Association Operating Grant


Community Association Operating Grants aid in the assurance of the sustainability and functionality of rural community services and infrastructure across the municipality. 

Starting in 2022, applicants are required to submit an Association Sustainability Plan with their annual application. A potential template for the Plan is available below.
