Public Hearing - To Adopt Fort Kent Major Area Structure Plan

The MASP sets a statutory framework and policy for orderly development and growth of the Hamlet of Fort Kent for the next 20 years.

The Council of Municipal District of Bonnyville proposes to adopt Bylaw No. 1749 being the Fort Kent Major Area Structure Plan (MASP).

The MASP sets a statutory framework and policy for orderly development and growth of the Hamlet of Fort Kent for the next 20 years.

A Public Hearing to consider the Fort Kent MASP will be held on Wednesday October 28, 2020 at 10 a.m. in the M.D. of Bonnyville Council Chambers (4905 – 50th Avenue, Bonnyville, AB) at which time written and oral submissions may be presented to Council.  Submissions may be made by any person(s) who claim to be affected by the proposed bylaw or from any other person whom the Councils agree to hear. 

*Please be aware due to COVID restrictions, if you wish to attend the Public Hearing 
you must notify the M.D. of your intention to attend the Public Hearing.

Any written submissions that are mailed, e-mailed, faxed, or delivered to M.D. of Bonnyville by 12 noon, Friday October 20, will be included in the Council agenda. Individuals wishing to make oral submissions at the Public Hearing are also requested to register by the Friday October 20, deadline. 

Should you make a written submission, the information you provide along with your name and legal address will be made public, subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection Privacy Act.  Copies of the bylaw, the proposed Fort Kent MASP and any supporting information may be inspected at the M.D of Bonnyville office during business hours, or on the M.D.'s website.
