Landfills throughout the M.D. will close at 2 p.m. on December 24. The landfills will also be closed December 25 and January 1.
However, all bin sites will remain open, and the bins will be emptied on December 26.
All M.D. landfills will accept discarded Christmas trees.
The holiday season will NOT effect regular household pickup in Fort Kent and Ardmore.
