Municipal District of Bonnyville Returning Officer Esther Quiambao says based on the 2014 Municipal Census Elector Population of 9,200, voter turnout increased from 22 percent in 2013 to 37 percent in 2017. In the 2017 Election only one Ward Councillor, Mike Krywiak was acclaimed, while in the 2013 election, Councillors in Wards 3, 4 and 5 were acclaimed.
