Our Parks crew have been working on the Vezeau Beach boat launch and mooring system since early spring. The M.D. took ownership of Vezeau Beach (the campground, Shaw House and boat launch area) this year. The dock was damaged a couple of years ago when high water levels hit Moose Lake. We are currently waiting for some approvals through Alberta Environment and Parks before remediation work can be completed, including the installation of new anchors for the mooring system.
Plans include purchasing a new gangway and installing it between the two boat launch pads. Staff hope to connect one piece of the mooring system to the existing anchors by mid-June.
