COUNCIL HIGHLIGHTS November 12, 2021
Keeping you informed of the services, business and development that affect YOU!
#1 Kinosoo Ridge 2021 Budget Increase – As Kinosoo Ridge gets closer to its 2021/22 ski season, resort staff have found several maintenance and repair items that require attention before the hill opens. Administration presented a report outlining these unbudgeted items. As a result, Council approved the department request of an increase of $300,000 to the Kinosoo 2021 Budget from cashflow reserves to tackle the projects. Administration will return to a future meeting with options to replenish the reserve from unused 2021 funds.
#2 Fire Halls Budget Increased – Council approved a $300,000 budget increase to complete work on the Fort Kent Fire Hall and Ardmore Grader Shop and Fire Hall. The eight-percent overage is due to previously approved change orders and a pivot in project management.
